I'm guessing the one labeled "Alex 1"
    GH3, Lumix 7-14, 12-35, 14-140, Voigtlander 25/.95

Absolutely. Obviously it's in the eye of the beholder but the latitude with Cine D is much better. Look at the detail in the drums that's peaking in the first pic.

Thanks for the feedback, gents. Tastes differ, certainly, and this is a work in progress. Indeed, based on some of the other scene files in the thread, I'm going to be lowering the detail level further.

However, as to the latitude, that was a conscious decision on my part: I'm willing to sacrifice latitude to gain softer rolloff to highlights via the "Knee" function. Obviously, I wish I didn't have to, but since Cine-D doesn't permit a knee, the choice must be made.

I've had very good results with this scene file on real shoots, but I haven't had a good chance to do side-by-side comparisons (hence the not-particularly-illuminating shot of the drumkit). It works best in extremely high contrast situations (e.g. backlit exterior people shots), so I'll try to shoot some decent samples and add them in.

The first and second are ungraded, third is greenscreen so it's processed and slightly graded.

I've shot some more side-by-side test footage, and posted an updated video. Please replace the drum picture in the top post with this video: http://vimeo.com/20259293

    Thanks!

Updated. I also added in a section for editman's "5D Mark II" emulation scene file.
