hey Ted i really liked this. your actress is good to do all that alone. Touching story and nice behind the scenes. Nice lighting also. Only thing i didnt like was the slowed down 24p footage.
This type of story also rings true for my country. (but maybe to a lesser degree)

Thanks, the actress had a bit of experience in theater, but first time in film. Not seen in the BTS but i printed an old guy face and taped it to the wall for her to have eye contact with.
I agree on the slowed down 24p, yeah, I know! i was ssooooo running after the deadline didnt have time to properly twixtor it. (i'll probably fix it tonight) ;-)

sound was a bit problematic since my office and room is along the busiest avenue in the City, and beside my room is a repair shop for an airplane! We boomed a shotgun towards her, and in some cases had to "cure" a lot of motorcycle sounds in the same track, trying to fix low freq engine noise really affects mid frequences of voice. sigh... the nuances of zero budget films. ;-)

First...I REALLY liked the story. Second, the photography was excellent. I love B&W, and it's nice to see it being used...no color correction needed. I liked that the shots didn't draw attention to themselves, and I also thought the lighting was great. Overall, awesome! The only critical suggestions I could make are in the audio department. A presence track would have helped out a lot for the audio continuity. Even though the film flows visually you can hear those cuts at times....but really though, nice piece of work.

Thank you for the constructive comments Justin,
I agree with your comment on the audio. I was very challenged in that area for this project.

Regardless, you did a great job. I just watched the behind the scenes as well. You really put in a lot of effort, and it shows. I know it's frowned on in this forum but I am curious to ask....it looked like you shot all this with one lens...which was it? Also, what were your f-stop and iso settings? How many lights did you need to get tyhe exposure you wanted? I ask because I am a recent purchaser of the 7D and am trying to hone my video craft, though I am having trouble achieving the richness and clarity you are getting. Thanks for any info!
