I had no problem recording 1080 24 using psf on out of sdi. But I have a shoot tomorrow which really should be 720 24, and I've tried every combination of setting, 3:2 pulldown on, and Nano does not detect a video signal, EXCEPT once. At one point in an hour of messing with it, nano actually displayed 720 23, but after I happily powered down and powered up again, no luck, and I've never gotten it to work again. Is this a bug, or am I missing something here?

you may want to call Dan at CD. He is always helpful and willing to help his customers at all times of day, even on weekends. Can't say enough about how great this customer service is. If anyone can help you fast it's him.

A little bit of an update. Dan Keaton and I spoke, and I can also report he and his company are VERY responsive to questions like this. He and I went through various menu settings, and it seems that as of now, the Nanoflash will not remove pulldown in recording 720p from the SDI output. It does not seem to recognize the pulldown. So I will likely need to record 1080 24p, which it will do. I hope this is addressed in a future firmware release. It will record 720p 59:94, but will not flag the frames for pulldown, it appears, as Avid reported the frame rate at 59.94.

If there's one thing I know for sure about Dan Keaton and CD, it's that they make customer service their top priority.

Triple verified. Dan Keaton is perhaps the single most responsive, proactive customer support person I've ever encountered.
