Hello there everyone!

My name is Lawrie Brewster and I am from Scotland, in the UK, where I am currently directing and producing the feature film 'White Out,' a New Age Film production. As a beneficiary of all the experience and wisdom of my fellow dvxusers - I decided that I wanted to share with you my own production experiences in case they provide some useful tips for anyone else attempting a feature film.

White Out

White Out is inspired by the documentary 'Collapse' and is based on the premise that Scotland’s winter snow never lifts, slowly forcing the country into a crisis where recession, inflation, oil shortages and an unnamed illness coincide to bring civilisation towards the brink of destruction. In the midst of all this, unemployed web designer and conspiracy theorist John Hanson, played by actor Jon Finnegan, is forced to leave his family in London to work as a government health volunteer. As the crisis deepens and society as we know it begins to break down, John must fight to survive in a new and harrowing era.

Production Info

The film is the brainchild of director/producer Lawrie Brewster of New Age Film, who saw the cinematic opportunity in the recent snowy weather. Writer Sarah Daly soon got on board and the project quickly went into production. Over the coming months of shooting, White Out will see cameos from the local people of Dysart as well as international contributions in the form of fake video diaries made by the online members of 'John Hansons' conspiracy website.


Soundtrack
Sarah Daly will be producing a unique soundtrack to accompany the film with artists from around the world.

Btw cheers ctbullet - a trailer won't come probably until its graded, but i will produce a teaser in about 3 - 4 weeks! I love editing trailers so it will be hard to resist putting one out sooner!

Well i look forward to you doing that too Darkline your an exceptionally gifted filmmaker - i think seeing your short film remedy put towards a feature would yield great reward! Im also going to pm you with a photoshop question hehe yey!
