I think I'm finally ready to take the plunge with the GH1 hack. When I check the version in the camera it says it's at 1.22

Next do i update my camera firmware to 1.32 before applying the hack

    Thanks

Yaay! Come on in! The water's fine!

Yes, update to 1.32, then load 1.32 into ptool, for it to overwrite. I suggest lpowell's reliability j settings to get you off to a flying start. Save seperately (ie don't overwrite the original 1.32. Select both of the top tickboxes, about version compare. Welcome to v0.0. Enjoy!

Just curious; why do you need to upgrade from 1.2x to 1.32 before applying the hack?
Is 1.32 the one that is downloadable from the Panny web site??

Yes it is. It's fine though. It's 1.34 you really REALLY don't want. I did this because it's in the instructions.

you dont need to update and then update again. you can just go straight to updating with patched file but make sure version compare is always checked.

Yes, always tick those top two boxes, or else be prepared to s**t your pants wondering why you can't change your settings, and have to start a panic thread about it on DVXuser (like what I done)
