So I'm trying to decide which one (because it can only be one for now) to go with, the Yashica 28mm 2.8 ML or the Takumar 35 F2. Just looking for some general input/ possible sample videos of each.

    Thanks

Well i have the yashica 28 2.8 (dont think its ML version) the ML is said to be sharper i think. its a good lens with a LONG focus throw and i got it for $27 . I have a supertakumar 50 (not 35) but the quality is outstanding....so i'm guessing so is the 35.

this was shot all yashica http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPR83TMWMKc (family vacation in Belize)

http://vimeo.com/16486348 the yashica is in there....sorry i cant tell u where right now. I need to watch it again.

http://vimeo.com/13410432 Supertak 50mm 1.4 . I know its not the 35mm but the quality should be just as good. I shot wide open here so its a bit soft. If i were doing it again i'd shoot at 2.8

    All Grading done in Premiere

edit: i see your are from kingston Jamaica also. Goodstuff . If u wanna link so u can see these lenses in the flesh then holla.

I have a Takumar 50mm and it is one of the best primes I have. Got it for $25. My lens goes to an f1.8 I must say the image qulity is outstanding. So I say go for the 30mm Takumar!!
