Pretty awesome. I've been waiting for the day to see a strictly DSLR action sports film. I've shot snowboarding for years and purchased a T2i just lately but am not convinced on strictly relying on a DSLR for shredding. Can you tell me about your experiences. I haven't watched the full length film yet, but how did the rolling shutter work on follow cams and tight in close ups with a lot of background movement? Did you use a separate audio recorder?

Rolling shutter is obviously not ideal for action sports. With that said you learn what types of movement are acceptable and what aren't. Close up/tight shots with lots of movement are totally fine if the camera is on a tripod.
Follow shots are hard with a DSLR due to rolling shutter. But they are possible.
Separate audio recorder is obviously recommended, but consider your target audience? If you are just using it for youtube videos of your friends shredding than built in audio is totally fine.
As with any piece of gear there are advantages and drawbacks, and the advantages of high quality glass far out weigh the drawbacks compared to any other system out there under ten grand...at least in my mind and at this point in time. Obviously that will change as technology progresses and price points come down.
