Yes, but still it just a kind of alternation, and I prefer M43 original lens with AF100. Others are just usable.

    That's you prerogative, for sure.

But the crop factor of the AF-100 for standard cinema purposes, is nowhere near 2X.

P.S. - If there are mods reading this - what are the chances we could get a new forum for this camera? I feel bad posting in this thread because it knocks it to the top of the AF-100 forum.

Confirmed to be a completely new sensor, this new camera has a pixel area that is 4 times larger then dSLRs.

Good times for the digicine world.
This makes a TON of sense being that Sony earlier this year had a presentation at HPA about how Q67 pattern being superior to bayer pattern for video sensors:

Actually I think this is all good news and people just want to be misserable. Panasonic and Sony have given Us what we al wanted or at least what I wanted. I own an EX3 and an HMC 150 and I know that both XDcam EX and AVCCAM are both satisfactory codecs (I also own cineform 4k and transcode everything, just a disclaimer)
the point is with the AF-100 there is now a solution to the hernia that I've found DSLRs to be.
and With the PMW-F3 I see the death of RED, There is now an affordable S35 camera that just WORKS with a workflow the just WORKS. and you have option for modular upgradability. Strap a Cinedeck to it if you want 4:4:4 and 880 plus Mbs.
At the end of the day the point being missed here is that all these things are tools and tools do nothing on their own. the person weilding the tool makes it do what he wants it to do or what it is supposed to do. SONY and PANASONIC have now given us the tools.
I for one I'm more than happy and eager to bid good riddance to the Bloody DSLR movement.
waiting to see what the AF-100 and the F3K do!!!

I do that for about an hour each night and usually give up, unless theres a decent movie on.
