Freelensing is disconnecting the lens from your camera and shooting. This is with photography.

    Is video next?

Actually, I've already seen some video done this way. It's done to create interesting and cool flaring as light leaks in between the lens and the camera body.

I've done it with video, after having seen it done by others. It can be done with any interchangeable lens camera, including the ones we already have. I only did it as an experiment and haven't found much reason to use it on purpose yet.

I did it for a small art project in college. It was a fun project, the final presentation consisted of three scenes shot by different directors, scored with live music and ballet choreography on stage. Trippy.

I bought some old russian lenses on eBay, dismantled them, reversed certain elements and rebuilt them (with plenty of parts left over!). It was a good experiement.
