This winter I'll be traveling with a friends band, documenting their tour. I'm starting to put together a list of gear I'll need and naturally I started with lenses... I'm debating on wether to rent the Canon 24-70 L or the Canon EFS 17-55. The L is only a few bucks more for the time I'll need it but I'm wondering if I'll miss the Image Stabilization on the 24-70? I really love the idea of have an L lens at my disposal, but for video will there really be that much of a difference? I'll also have my Tokina 11-16 so wide is not really an issue.
