Mine's just been despached. Now I have to wait for it to cross the pond.

So excited to get this soon. Does it cover lighting in tight quarters or rooms with white walls? I seem to come in contact with these beast all the time and they constantly kick my butt.

If it gets me "80 percent there" that's all I need... If the quality is on par with your sound dvd, I'm sure it'll be great.

You'll find some insights along those lines, but they may not be exactly what you might expect.
Right. Re: rooms with white walls, the advice is "don't do it". Verrrry, helpful.
Up next a great instructional video for surgeons - what to do when your patient gets cancer. Remedy: "advise patient not to get cancer next time, and send him on his way - now go walk it off". Brilliant!
I see a great future in instructional videos along these lines

But we said a lot more than that. We give ways to deal with white walls and minimize the impact of them. And in the technique section, we specifically start in a room with very light beige walls and then through the course of the lessons show what we did to make it better.
Look, a room with white walls is a room with subjects surrounded by a bunch of giant bounce cards. There's only so much you can do, and we show you what the most effective things are -- and also some of the less effective ways to deal with it, and why they are so.
We certainly don't cover every possible way; we only had so much time.
With the Sound DVD, the equivalent question is, what do you do in a room full of echo -- or intrusive outside noise? Best thing to do? Move to a place which doesn't have it. But barring that, we give plenty of other ways to deal with it, too, with the caveat that they simply won't be as effective. We very much tried to do the same thing in the Lighting DVD.

If it is anywhere NEAR the same quality as the audio one, and I'm sure it is, it will be great.

@David Jimerson That is more than enough! I ordered mine saturday and Im hoping since I live in NC it will arrive by tomorrow. So excited! Lighting is the one thing I love but can never seem to get right. I hope this helps as reading books provided me with so-so results. I think i'm more of a visual learner.
