Nope! No new marketing. Just need to get a new trailer up because it's almost a year since the first one (yeah, that long).
Yikes.
xD Nothing interesting really to report. It's still in finishing phase. Didn't expect it to take so long but looking back at it, I should have! We had about 400 vfx shots, and it's not stuff like muzzle flashes or blood splatters. Nearly every shot in the large scene at the end required rotoscoping, compositing, and some lighting effects.
Got more sound/score back, first time today hearing an entire scene pretty much finished off audio-wise and it's pretty inspiring.
I kinda want to stay quiet until it's done, a new trailer's up and we know what we're doing with it as far as distributing. And, well, we still need a poster. X_x

It is a lot of work. Me thinks the sad thing is that it's just a lot of work for everyone in post, more than it was for me? I dunno, maybe I'm crazy. But, when we initially sat down and broke down VFX shots my friend and I were like "Oh this is gonna go quick."
The only thing that went quick about it was that notion. However, as of writing this today, VFX are like ninety five to ninety eight percent done. Some of the stuff I had been dreading has finally taken its final form. Dunno how other people will take it, but it's definitely beyond the budget, and I can only be thankful for great friends with crazy powers.
THere's a distro plan, couldn't say how soon it'd go overseas. I'm going to satisfy the Kickstarter pledges first, then carry on with the mission, but likely it'll be a self distributed effort. Wouldn't say it's a backup plan by any means, but part of the main plan.CAMP COMET : FILMMAKERS BLOG | SUPERSEEDS FEATURE FILM (DVXUSER BLOG)

Nobody said that making movies would be easy. You're taking on a genre that isn't the least expensive nor the least time consuming. Add the upkeep of this social media and the hours rack up. Think of it this way. If you didn't enjoy it, you would've quite 365 days ago (or something like that).
It's trial and error mixed with education from others that have done it before. Then mix it again with what other people think and you have a product. I think of it like the music industry. Most investors nowadays are looking for a finished album. The A&Rs don't necessarily groom like they used to. You have to be a finished product (I reference Souljah Boy again). Ya'll have done quite a bit of work already on Superseeds. I feel that the money is there for finishing and for distro. It's just up to you to find it.

LOL. That picture is great.
Believe it or not we're about to hit the last few steps: color, 5.1 mix, and titles/credits. Score just finished up which was a process, and most of the sound design.
Also need to get a poster done.
Wish it could move faster, but that's what happens when there's little (read: no) money. D'oh.
Thanks for remaining interested. >.<CAMP COMET : FILMMAKERS BLOG | SUPERSEEDS FEATURE FILM (DVXUSER BLOG)
