iMovie and HD-FX1???

I edit my demo reel with iMovie and iDVD does anybody know if the Sony HD-FX1 camera is compatible with these programs? Can I capture footage from this camera into iMovie as io have done in the past or is iMovie outdated at this point. Please e-mail me with your answers. Thank you in advance.

Hi Brian,

I don't really use iMovie, even though I have it installed on my computer. But, as far as I know, Apple hasn't announced support for HDV on iMovie. I heard that they are going to provide an upgrade for Final Cut Pro owners.

For the time being, I think you will have to use a third party application to capture your footage.
