Sorry for a new thread on this, but I search really didn't reveal much.
I thought Panasonic had set a European price; is that correct?
If so, what price?
But has Panasonic set a MAP for the USA?
If so, what price?
And if not, why is there a European price if there is, and none yet for USA? If any one knows.

I believe the European pricing was announced at 4900 Euro.
No MAP for the US yet, and I'd imagine they'd be announcing that at DV Expo in two weeks.

Yes, as others have said, it's 4900 Euros.
Not yet. And MAP = "minimum advertised price", not "MSRP". They will announce MSRP, but "MAP" is a "hidden" number for the dealers; it's a price that dealers are not allowed to advertise below. The way things seem to be shaping up, it's doubtful there will be much discounting off of MSRP anyway, at least for the early release timeframe. But has Panasonic set a MAP for the USA?
Because it was launched in Europe, so European details were announced. It hasn't been launched in the USA yet. Pricing in the USA will be unveiled at the USA launch. And if not, why is there a European price if there is, and none yet for USA? If any one knows.Last edited by Barry_Green; 09-15-2010 at 12:14 PM.

Is the USA launch scheduled? To coincide with DV Expo, perhaps?

If the Europen price is set at Euros 4900 ,- you can expect the USA version to be around USD 4500,- .

List prices for each region/country are always affected by many factors so you shouldn't do a simple currency conversion to a local currency.
Jan is the product manager, so she knows her products' pricing!
