Doing a shoot next weekend and would like to do it with two cams to have easier match action in editing. I have a T2i which will be attached to my actor's body and moving with him and then following overhead I want to put my zi8 on a boom pole and simple dolly to follow him as he walks. The T2i is pointed down from his chest toward the floor getting his feet and then the ZI8 is above his head following...
Will that footage match at all?

I did a film a few weeks ago with a T2i and Canon HF11 camcorder. And we had numerous issues with color correcting the clips from the two cameras to match. Not to mention the difference in quality of video between the two.
I would not use two different cameras again to shoot the same scene and try to cut footage between the too. However, if I was crazy enough to try it again, I'd make sure I did as much in camera as possible on both to match while shooting to make it MUCH less work in post.

well it was my post and i put that youtube link up as well... i have no affliation with the person who posted that on youtube but i didn't want forum members to think i hadn't tried to find the answer on my own, but yeah, totally agree... i know for sure you can get better image out of the iphone than that... i shot a short 5 minute documentary last weekend with one and it looked better than that without any post work

Anyone shot a 2 cam setup w/ Zi8 and T2i?
