Here's a set that I shot for my friends band, Heartless. This was a pretty last minute thing so it's all handheld, POV style.

This was my first video using the Super-Takumar 55mm 1.8. I am very impressed with the results. Very sharp lens.

Audio is a bit rough (camera mic) but you'll have that

Wow, I'm going to film my friends band with a T2i, I had no idea the audio would be so horrible. What onboard mic would anyone recommend?

Dude, your asking alot of any cam to be able to handle hardcore music from a single sound source. I used to work in a death/grind/hardcore recording studio and we had major problems isolating the drums even in an acusticly tuned environment when they were seperated from the rest of the instruments...

Best to see if you can bring a handy recorder like a zoom h4n and run from the board if they have one...

I would never take any serious audio with this camera because you really have no control over the levels at all.

In a perfect world I would have grabbed an out from the mixer into a h4n but it was kind of a spur of the moment thing.

I was actually worried that I was going to get smashed while filming but since the T2i is so small I can dodge pretty well.
