I posted a similiar question in the technical forum. Basically I wanted to know if you recorded audio on both channels with one being your MIC channel. Is there a way you can monitor ONLY ONE of the 2 channels i.e. the MIC channel and not the onboard mic during playback if you are going to be logging tapes right in the camera. Is there a way to mute or turn down the other channel during playback?

Well, sure... if you're using headphones, just hold up one earphone. If you're using speakers and you have a left/right balance control, crank it all the way to the side you want. Or unplug the speaker on the side you don't want...
