Can A Lavalier Adapter Destroy Your DVX?

Now is it true that those adapters can blow your camera out? I have a Lectrosonics lav where I work (used for an XL1) but it doesn't take xlr. I thought about picking up one of those adapters but a dealer advised me against it.

i dont think you spell it right -start with
i have lectrosonic lav wjicjh hooked to lectrosonic transmitter which sits on my xl-1
can i use it with phantom to bias converter and feed the input of my dvx with out dammeg
yes , nothing would happend to your camera
my advise is to buy from someone else who do understand what he is selling
