P2CMS download??

My old powerbook crashed so bought a new (second hand) it has OSX 10.5.8
Cant seem to download P2CMS onto it?? neither can the local Mac expert. Trying to download from panasonic website, doesnt seem to work.
Anyone had similar problems or anyone a solution maybe?

What occurs when you attempt to install it?

Installed it succesfully this morning, i thought.
Everything looks perfectly fine until i try to watch a clip. I get audio, but i dont get video??

What version of P2CMS did you install? Have you offloaded your P2 data to the HD and then try to import those clips using P2CMS? Explain your workflow.

I have installed all relevant drivers from Pan website, now password protected.

Workflow: insert P2 card in PB. Connect Lacie external HD with FW800. Copy P2 content to folder in Lacie. Open P2CMS to view clips. Everything looks right, except for no video shown.??

not that this should be causing the issue. but when you transfer a P2 card:

1. make a new folder on your destination drive. name it something indicative of what it is.
DELI_CLIENT_CARD_01 (use NO SPACES or special characters in your naming. just aAbBcC_0123)
2. copy both the contents folder AND lastclip.txt from the P2 card to the new folder
3. repeat this process for every card you shoot.

not to be a broken record. and technically this SHOULDNT cause this kind of issue. but i have had all kinds of anomalous problems with lacie products...

I know how to dump the card. I was referring to being able the check it P2CMS. I'd feel a lot better after seeing what I just shot in the viewer.
No fixes so far?

Does P2CMS install the DVCProHD codec? You have to have it from some app (like FCS) to see the video.
