If anyone wants to speed-test their SD card, I found this great utility:

    Crystal Disk Mark --
    http://crystalmark.info/software/Cry...k/index-e.html

It runs a series of read/write tests against the card and reports the MB/s average. This assumes, of course, you have a good high-speed SD card reader...

Double check to make sure zoom wasnt enabled in the settings. there's a 2x and a 4x.

pretty sure it wasnt , i think also Nurbs said today he had this same issue ..tester just posted this "Yeah, 720p23,97 AVCHD is clipped from full 1920 picture, must be fixed later:-)
But best thing that we can play this progressive 24fps footage in camera without problems" ..i guess its recorded with 2x ratio at 720 24p ,at least for now..

Isn't 24 Mbps the highest bit rate for all avchd? How can you have 32/34Mbps?

    It is AVCHD standard rate.
It means that any device will play it fine at 24Mbps (5.1 high profile, as far as I remember), nothing else.

Does the native 24/25p playback in-camera?

does the AVC bitrate adjustment work without the "native 24p" setting? I still need to view my files in camera or on a monitor after I shoot them.
