Using polarizing filter on hpx170

Hey guys,

i'm shooting a 2 camera shoot on a golf course, instructional video with full body shots of the presenter. It's going to be full sun and I'm curious if using a circular polarizer is recommended. My thinking is that it would help smooth out the hot spots on the greens, water, skin, sky, etc. Is there anything I should be cautious about when using the polarizers? (using a Tiffen)

Polarizers are incredible. Great for darkening windows (or making clear). Really helps the true saturation of colors appear by cutting the reflected skylight from grass and plants.

90 degrees from the sun will darken the sky considerably. This will be exaggerated with a wide lens (dark bands rather than one similar color). Not a deal breaker by any means, in fact, the HPX does not got too wide and you could always tell the client it is a style choice.

You can of course rotate for less effect.

I have a tiffen CP on my HVX and it seems to have less effect than an off brand LP that I use with the Letus setup.
