it freaked me out, while turning on the camera, like 30 seonds after, the screen went purple for a second. on another occasion it did it and went black, then again it jittered between lines of purple.
i watched the footage and exactly at the time it happened, the video went black but audio was still being recorded.
should i be concerned?
i've babied since day one.
it always have fresh installed batteries and has never been dropped or bumped.
am i using it too much?

during a long shoot a little while back, i saw the screen flash purple for a second 2 separate times during the shoot. There was no effect on the footage, and it hasn't happened since. i was pretty worried when it happened, but haven't thought much about it until i saw your post.
during my shoot, the camera was on a tripod and wasn't being touched at all, it was on battery power, but was plugged into an XLR mic that was run through a splitter (which was also hooked up to the room's PA)Professional HD Video Production Services - Jerusalem, Israel
