I have the same S2010 light it, and I also have a Comer 1800. I would say go with the comer light
you can get it from here http://lacolorshop.com/products/item.asp?id=cm1800
comparing the two lights the swit is not even close to half the power of the comer! you can buy sony generic batteries from ebay for cheap, and they'll work fine for the light!

+1 for the Comer 1800. Dimmable, powerful, and you can use the affordable Sony L-series batteries!

thank you very much

1)) Comer 1800 light is better than Swit S - 2010 , as you have both i need your exact advice???
2)) And also it is compatible with Panasonic AG-HMC 150 series camcorders
3)) Do we have additional batteries for Panasonic AG-HMC 150 that lasts for long time rather than the ones that panasonic provides i mean from different companies
4)) Does lacolorshop is fully trusted ??????????Last edited by sharif_al; 03-10-2010 at 09:53 AM.

1- Comer 1800 is better than S2010, it's brighter and also has a dimmer
2- It fits on the cold shoe on the camera (all cameras have the same coldshoe)
3- the light uses Sony L series batteries, this type of batteries are very easy to find and are very affordable, about $30 a piece (the light will work over 2 hours at full power with a high capacity battery)... The panasonic batteries are not compatible, but I think is better to have dedicated batteries for a light anyway
4- LA Colorshop has a great costumer service and i fully trust him, the owners name is Taky! he's also a member here. He has gone out of his way to help me in the past... Many members here have bought from him before, all with no complaints!
NOTE, they also sell a smaller light "Comer 900" that is still brighter than the swit and it's cheaper BUT is not dimmable...
Hope that info helps!

+2 for the Comer 1800 via L.A. Colorshop. It's a great value and a great light. I also have the Comer 900 for supplemental lighting and it works well, but it's not as versatile as the 1800.
Taky's customer service is outstanding.

The battery mounts on the back of the light!... so you have your regular battery for your camera. And the light has it's own battery as well (is about the same size as the high capacity battery from the camera)
