Comments & Questions About The HMC40 FAQ & Articles
Please feel free to post any comments or questions about any of the articles or FAQs you see in the HMC40 FAQ & Articles.
NOTE: Any posting that is off topic, that is not related to an Article or FAQ, and/or not addressing the discussion of that Article or FAQ, will be deleted. Please remember, the discussion is about the HMC40. If you want to compare other cameras or talk about things not covered in the Article or FAQ, please go to the another thread.
I know that several users didn't want too many Stickies, but making these three postings Stickies seemed to be the logical thing to do. Hopefully you don't mind having three stickies.
Thanks,
Bob Diaz

Good grief. Perhaps we need a sticky thread for questions on what can be put in the articles and FAQs sticky thread?
No offense at all Cranky. It's a good question, but it's also a very ironic first post for this thread as well.

Two kilobucks, two pounds, and two megapixels.

When I say "Articles", I was talking about Articles written by Users of this Forum who own an HMC40 and are posting it on the thread for Articles & FAQs.
If one posted a link to an outside article, it really doesn't fit what we were trying to do here. You can post it in a thread outside of the FAQ & Article Section.

Is that why everything in the index is just threads here, rather than information resources like the HMC40 user manual, or the thing Panasonic wrote to explain in detail what scene file settings actually do, or Adam Wilt's outstanding review? (All of those are just excellent, top flight reference materials on the HMC40.)
For the index to be great (or even very good at all), I really do think it should be about the best resources there are, not limited just to threads/posts on the forum. That's where the real value in it potentially is. One easy to use resource here at dvxuser, that has the best of the best info on the 40 all gathered into one place.

That's a lot of why I was working on developing a real FAQ that was more than just some thoughts in some posts as they came to mind, with a bunch of extra conversational fluff almost assuredly winding up in there. I wanted to offer up something that could provide answers, for newcomers and passers-by, to very common questions, concisely and in one place.
