Both of those look kinda weak and expensive.
I made one of these for $10 and works great, much more like a real shoulder rig

I also modified the design and added a quick release mount, so that i can quickly take the camera on and off. (i use the same quick release on my steadicam, and im going to get one for my tripod to.)Diary of a No Name Film maker

Davis and Sanford and Smith Victor Don't really make high quality products. None of the stuff I had from them has ever lasted. Tripod, Lighting etc. I would stay away from both. Save some coin and get a Merlin or Glidecam

the 2000 is tough to find. B&H may have gotten a few in today from what I have heard.

I am trying -- at the suggestion of someone else here -- Joby Gorillapod focus. In preliminary tinkering, I think it's going to work. Not the best solution, but far from the worst, and good "value for money" anyway.

I find my cb-105 just about right depending on the lens I have on the gh-1.
Also, I've had pretty good results strapping a belt around a pillow around my waist.
more of a support than a stabilizer though

Cool to hear, you try anything yet? Shoot some stuff with the rig on a monopod - you can catch me on the bottom left from time to time heh...
