Okay I am joking… but read on…
Had a strange experience recently, we were shooting a few interviews in Europe and the weather was pretty hot, and the folks being interviewed were indigenous to the region – I mention this because it makes what I am about to say even more strange.
We set up a 3 way interview in a large airy room and we used a large bay window as the key light with LED lights as backlights and fills. One of the individuals asked if we could move the LED600 CooLights panels further away from behind him (about 5 feet away already) as he was burning up with the heat from it???
I checked the unit and it was of course completely cool, I checked the area behind him and could feel no heat from any other source; I mentioned to him that these lights were LED and not tungsten and therefore not to be concerned as heat would not be a problem.
However, he kept looking over his shoulder at the light panel, started rubbing the back of his neck, and was beginning to sweat, his skin colour was also taking on a flushed look.
Although the interview was very relaxed, they were all good friends/colleagues, I can only assume he was a little anxious with the interview (though he appeared relaxed) and this was having a kind of psychosomatic effect.
Well, that’s a new one for me…

Wild. There are definitely some people more sensitive to bright lights than others as all of us know and I do think a lot of it is psychosomatic for sure. We've all had the client that just couldn't understand how to deal with them and we had to do whatever to try and make it better. Its just inexperience in my opinion and if they had to do it more often and even liked being in front of the camera, then its no longer a problem to them.

Did the interviewee cast a shadow? Appear in mirrors?
"I'd like to say that I've never come across two know nothing pretenders on the weird wide web before, but unfortunately it's all too common and is exactly why, according to the last government survey, only 5% of all internet users ever use forums or chats. And it's exactly why I'm done with this one. You two really need to get jobs and out of your mother's basements. You can't fix stupid. And I don't have time for stupid." -swoopie

Come to think of it, there was a big mirror on one wall, and if my memory serves me well, out of the six people in the room I don't remember seeing any of us in it... ;-)

Here is a strange one, for some reason research has found that shining bright lights on the back of knees modifies jet lag.

As the trip to China is a long one from the West, I would strongly suggest that Coollights begin it's own personal research and develp an according product line.
I'm currently trying to steal people's souls with my camera phone.
