Yeah, I know. The thing is, I don't really want to throw up a crappy temp poster that doesn't do it justice...
I'm not as creative at the posters as you are.
I was planning on waiting till I had some images from shooting, or at least make-up tests to make the poster from, but maybe I'll put something together sooner.

You have a decent camera and a great eye.. why not (please for the love of all that's funky) just shoot some photos with your cast with a poster design in mind? It will give you exactly what you need, no mucking about with lower quality images from the camera (unless you;re using RED)... and it's designed to be a poster? It will certainly kick a lot more ass that way....

No, right, I meant to use pictures taken with a still camera from on set, or during a make-up test. The thing is, without extensive make-up and costuming, my actors won't look accurate to the movie. Hard to explain without giving away too much - okay, I'll just say it, my movie heavily features aliens.

Then you're the exception to my rule. Just keep it in mind and try to schedule some time in for a poster shoot. Sounds like it's going to cost you some money for costumes and make up, so you shoudl document and take advantage of it as much as you can.
Pity Chris Curl went and used that freaking awesome shot of the earth. That would have made a freaking awesome poster for this project... temporary or otherwise...

That is a badass photo Chris used. That was actually my only idea for a temp poster would be to do some outer space image of earth, but now that Chris did it, I'd just look like I was copying him.
I'm trying to save as much money as possible by scrounging my and my cast's closets, and using pieces/scraps from the university where my wife's getting her grad theatre directing degree. I'll definitely keep you all informed.

Thanks MSpencer and Justin!
Added another headshot.
Had a meeting with the cast today. Went over a whole lot of things, and did some scheduling. Looks like we're going to be shooting January 23rd and 24th.
Everyone was very excited, as am I. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to scout some locations (least favorite part of shooting a movie).
