Hello all,
Let me begin to say that I am very new to the camera scene and have a lot of learning to do.
I work at a music studio in downtown Nashville, our head engineers cousin came in to track his new album to pitch to record labels. They apparently had some attention from SONY Records. Well to make a long story short I happened to have rented a 7d the day I found out they were coming in. So with nothing else but pointless outdoor shots in mind I decided to do a little Interview/Behind The Scenes for their new upcoming album.
So it was just me, the 7d (Nikkor 50mm 1.8), and a manfrotto tripod.
I realize there is some mistakes, I'm in the process of learning what to shoot and what not too, how long to hold shots for, etc. It's fun!
But please enjoy, and any critisism that is helpful is gladly allowed.

Thanks David, There was a little bit of cc, I just crushed the lows a little and added in some blue for the lows and highs. Just CC-ed to taste.
The raw footage still looks good, but a little too orange in some shots.Last edited by jaradc; 11-18-2009 at 01:52 PM.

Its the SteadyCam thing in final cut pro that was the cause of that in a few clips, I want to get a Zacuto quick shot shoulder support to get steadier free hand shots.

Yes I had suspected you used that in some places. I recognize the look because it results in motion blur where there is no perceived motion like at 1:51 - 2:00.
I was referring more to the extreme jello action at 3:04 - 3:14.
I was seriously considering getting this camera for video but it can't handle even mild camera shake without serious rolling shutter issues. I'll have to wait for something else... like Scarlet!

No doubt man! I donʻt know if Iʻll buy this one yet or wait for the Scarlet. It was fun to rent though, it just feels so solid. The guys over at TVC in Nashville threw in a nice manfrotto 526 head for me so I had a kick butt time filming this.
About the jello at 3:04 I was in the midst of laughing!
