    HMC150 vs. HMC40 rudimentary zoom test

    Well someone is trying to do it, even if the decision to place both cams on a split screen makes it hard to evaluate, at least for these eyes. There does seem to be a difference in moire pattern on the stadium steps.

    wow the OIS on the 40 makes a huge difference.I still find the 150 image more pleasing overall.

    I wouldn't judge moire on a downscaled vimeo; that process in and of itself might introduce some moire.

    In the split screen example above, the OIS on the HMC 40 appears to "correct" the jello and motion blur, is this a correct assumption?

    No question that the OIS does help reduce the impact of jello and motion blur. There are limits to the technology, but it's clear that it does help.

    Thanks Bob, that was my conclusion from watching the split screen video also. Actually that example is almost to good to be true, the HMC 40 must have an excellent OIS.
