I have been looking at the older version of glidecams and then someone told me to spend the extra on the HD series, so I have been looking at those a bit, then in the marketplace section a Steadicam JR shows up... So, just wondering if someone can chime in and let me know between the HD series of glidecams and the steadicam JR which would be your preference and why.

Steadicam JR is better because the design is better. Since it places the center of gravity over your wrist rather than in front of it, the rig will not wrench your hand downward and will thus be more comfortable to use. The Steadicam is also lighter than the Glidecams.
Current cameras: Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GH2 | Sony HDR-SR11 (infrared modded)
