Converting AVCHD footage to PNG sequence (is this a lossless conversion?)
i dont like doing visual effects or even editing with AVCHD (i have a pretty fast quad core machine) and yet it is hard to edit... can i convert using TMPGenc Xpress? AVCHD to PNG sequence (and if needed convert the sound to .wav?)
will this be TRULY lossless?
i dont want lossy formats, i want my workflow to be lossless, from the original all the way to the master.
so yeah....
can i do that?

Is there any advantage to using png sequence over uncompressed AVI. Perhaps smaller size?

yeah, i ONLY want a SMOOTH playback editing situation, where its not HIGHLY compressed like AVCHD AND its also lossless so i can have peace of mind that im not losing detail....
i dont care about size but if possible have it little size as possible....
