Daaaaaaaamn!!!!!!!!!!!! That's cool as sh!t Aram..... Based off of Big's join? What! lol, I can't wait to see this homie. How many pages is the script? Ten dealers and their stories mixed into one feature length film sounds long and complicated but very interesting. Will it be ten seperate stories or is it all mixed in together some how.

This is a very good idea for a movie. Surprised it hadn't been attempted as yet. Good luck with production. Stills look good.
Will follow with interest. Let me know if you need help on the music side, I'm doing a hip-hop movie at the moment and can likely recommend some artists down the line when you're in post.

Thanks. Everyone keeps saying that about why hasn't it been done yet. Hope this makes waves when it comes out. VH1 wanted to put a director on this and do the promotion but also wanted a sizable cut. The script is about 80 pages and we are shooting 10 different stories and the main guy in each gets killed. The guy or girl who kills him moves up in the next story but then breaks one of the commandments and falls so each person who kills someone moves on to the next story. We are using mostly real dealers from the street with some actors to make this even realer but... today we are having a hard time finding "Jay" who was the the guy who got killed yesterday...we need to do the exteriors today.
I will let you know about the music thing. Right now we have Rel playing a part and putting some music and my boy CAUSE who is also putting in music.

Ouch. I have a friend who likes to use non-actors in his projects but has been burned a few times in doing so.
I understand the thought process but tend to shy away from that...there are plenty of good actors out there (you're in NYC for goodness sake) to choose from who can do the job.
Good luck with it all, but you're braver than I in that case. Which isn't to say I'm not using non-actors some as well, but the non-actors I'm using in "Battle" had to really commit that they were going to be down for what it actually takes to get a movie done. So, we've got artists and producers who are making appearances but many who I did not give parts to because I was concerned about their reliability.
And, just let me know on the music side if you need help.
