No, I wasn´t asking about the 5/7D at all, I talked to the VIDEO rep, standing in front of the Canon XLH1.
I asked one of the photo reps about the 5D and she said an 5D 24/25p update wasn´t sceduled, but obviously comming soon...

So Canon rep told you that 24p is coming to 5D for sure but they dont know when ? Or he meant 7D as "24p update" ?

it will be based in cmos chip or ccd? i say this because y hate rolling shutter effect. or can be cmos with global shutter? i don´t know this is possible or not.
