Ok I got tired of all the internet people claiming to have D300s. Or doing test without one. So I emailed Ami Vitale who did the Nikon film using the D300s. Here is what she said about using the D300s and the film for those of you who might have missed it.
"Hi Bob,
I used a variety of lenses but the perspective lenses were what gave it that film like quality. I also used the 10-24 a lot. Love the camera and shot a lot of it handheld and it looked good--the jello days are gone. We did not do post processing to correct any problems. It really is exceptional quality, especially for the price. Best, Ami"

That was cool of her to email back.
As far as I have seen, all of the d300s video samples are indeed real. The japanese link and the techradar youtube link that I posted was confirmed by the guy who shot the d300s vimeo page, since he did the review for techradar.
People are given the camera in advance to try out, just like most other cameras, etc.

Nice that she replied but given her relationship with the company it's unlikely she'd criticize the product, particularly in an email that can be shared across the world.
In the Bosch film on the same web page as the OP linked to, is that some jello in the rotor blades of the helicopter?
Nevertheless, it's still pretty good quality stuff coming from a DSLR.

Wow. I hope this is true! But what on earth does she mean by, "Perspective Lenses"? I've never heard of this before.

She said that about the jello, but her in her piece she rarely pans and if there is any movement it's very limited. So does anyone else know whether or not the jello is much reduced?
By Perspective lenses, she must mean shift/tilt lenses which I can see she used on that shot with the camels. Tilt/shift allows very precise control over focal planes and DOF, similar to 4x5 view camera use. That's what I figure she means...

If she did mean tilt/shift lenses.. I'm a bit surprised. It's the large sensor which allows for the shallow DOF and the latitude that gives it the film look. I'm not sure there are a lot of motion pictures out there using tilt/shift lenses. Anyhow.. regardless, I still really really enjoy the film she made for Nikon and she's exceptionally talented!!

Might have been talking about this type of lens perspective:
