Knowing that I'll don't have to pay customs when buying electronics inside the EU, I'd like to know where I can buy one the cheapest. I don't need an all-in-one mattebox package or something, cause I saw some footage of this camera ( :o), and just am gonna go for it. I'll be doing a film-school-kind-of training after I finish secondary this year, and want some equipment of my own.
Who can help me get the best deal on the DVX?

I'm also inside the EU and got a very good deal on mine (DVX100 PAL) from Expandore in Singapore, this was a few years back though, so I'm not sure how it is today (might be worth checking?), but back then I couldn't get close to that deal anywhere in the EU (even with customs included). I understand though that you want to buy it within the EU, but I'm just giving you my 2 cents.

Thanks for the tip anyway. They're offering it for 3.500 USD, was that what you paid for it? Has anyone else got any experience with this shop?

i did something similar with www.globalmediapro.com -- they work from new zealand. they also have offices in england but they supply from NZ and Singapore too, if i'm not wrong. i had to add vat (16%) and customs (15%) which you add on the price that *includes* the shipping fee.. so at the end it costs just a little bit under the "best deal" here.. honestly i would rather get it from a local dealer next time, or maybe like you, to look first inside europe.
just to add to your statistics -- a good price for the DVX100AE in Berlin at the moment is 3,800 (+-50) €
goodluck ;)..
