Looking at GH1 footage transcoded to AIC and GH1 footage transcoded to ProRes at like 800% zoom, and all levels in between, I can't really tell the difference. Is there a reason to be transcoding to ProRes other than it handles color grading better (does it? I think it does....) I've been shooting 720p/60. Normally I would just use ProRes and take the kick to the storage gonads but I'm on vacation right now, have shot a few hours of raw footage, and have (probably) just barely enough external storage with me for it, which I'd rather not fill all the way up. Card data is dumped and backed up, but I have some downtime today and I'd love to start editing.

Nevermind. Scratch that. Big quality difference. Going through clips one at a time and deciding to log them or not...doing most. >.<
