    Hey all,

I shot and edited a comedic tribute to Michael Jackson in music video form.

It was all shot hand-held on the GH1 1080/24 & 720/60 (for slow motion) using the kit lens. Edited in and colored in FCP. This cam keeps getting better and better!

Dude... That was great... I think I'm going to buy the GH1... I think it will be a great match B Cam for my HPX170... This video clinched it for me... It was practical application and the results looked awesome on the web.

Bravo! I especially like the wide, low-angle shots with the architectural backgrounds. Makes the dancer "pop".

My only criticism (and a mild one since this video is so much fun anyway) is that locking the cam on a tripod may have reduced the motion-induced artifacts resulting from both the in-cam compression and the for-the-web compression. The architecture in the background would've been stock still & razor sharp, so by contrast the dancer's motion would pop even more.

I like the cu dolly-like move when you hand-held the cam and walked around the dancer. A motivated camera move is great, but for most everything else, keep the cam locked-up on a tripod and let the dancer move around in the frame.

Again, great job! I like the video as is, but it would be interesting to see if the above suggestion would improve or detract from its impact.

    Heh.

For some reason I kept thinking Ferris Bueller's Day Off when Bueller lip-syncs to the Beatles.

    Maybe because you're in Chicago.

Regardless. *CORRECTION - That was kinda fun. - CORRECTION*

    Hell, that was awesome.
