Well, Panasonic Center here sold me a Panasonic 'Silver' Class 4 'Full HD video' 16 GB card with my GH1. Works just fine, I guess it's optimized for a steady data rate over peak bursts, it says 'Up to 20 MB/s' on the package.

After the initial GH1 mud issues where I bought a dead expensive Sandisk Extreme to see if it was a cheapo slow memory card causing trouble, I found it didn't make a difference while recording.

    Save your money.

Unless you wanna have fast read / write times when connected to your PC / Mac then just get the biggest cheapest class 4 or 6 you can find!! Some of the marketing on these Sandisks is the most expensive thing about them other than the price!

Class 4 is fast enough for 21mbps on the HMC150, it'll be fast enough for anything the GH1 can throw at it.

Ditto. My GH1 came with a free 8GB Class 4 Kingston SDHC card (not even marked as video), and while testing I didn't have an issue.
