What can you learn from the story of a gun?
The Summer of .45 follows a single .45-caliber pistol through the hands of six people, each with their own unique tale in the shadows of an overarching story.
Shot on a Panasonic DVX-100B with a budget of roughly $2500 (camera included,) The Summer of .45 is an experiment to challenge the scope of traditional microbudget indies. We shot the 67-scene film over 6 weeks in the summer of 2008, and anticipate completing post-production within the month.

This is my second feature film and what we hope is a step up from my first feature, Misdirection. While there are certainly some issues and (like any filmmaker) I have a handful of regrets with elements of the production process, we're hopeful that we're telling a fun story in a unique way, and getting ready to elevate our budget in the future. Obviously, any questions, comments, and critiques are welcome.
