Hey everyone. I just downloaded the trial version og vegas 5.0. I've been playing around with it but there is one thing I need help with and thats color correction. I understand that its a pretty important feature, but I guess I don't know how to use it. I have three different colored circles, what does each one do differently? Basically how do you use color correction properly?

That will take much, much longer than any post in here can do.
The color wheels shift the color balance over three different bands of color in the picture -- the far left wheel controls the lows, the darker, shadowy areas; the middle controls the mid-range (most of the picture); and the right wheel controls the highs -- the highlights. You move the dot around the wheel to adjust color levels. Move the dot to the lower right, for example, to de-emphasize or remove the yellows and bring out the blues.
Many volumes have been written on the subject. Learning the basics of color and how it works would be a good start.
