Ok, so I have some more footage to share.
As per requested the entire 'PRIVATE' folder is available for everyone who needs the file structure to remain intact. No changes were made. No transcoding etc, etc...
Location: Sakae, Nagoya (Japan)
Time: dusk and shortly thereafter
Camera: GH1 in 720 (SH mode), ISO 1600, wide open (F4 on the stock lens), AWB, shutter 1/30 (although there is some debate as to whether this really means 1/30), Intelligent contrast: off, Auto focus on for some of the shots; off for others, Film type: Vibrant (camera's stock vibrant setting)...hmmmm think that's about it...
7 clips in all, different settings, available light only (some darker places others well lit)
I hope this adds to the ballooning information about this remarkable little cam

Thanks again to Daniel L for the server space.
Cheers

Just checked this out on my ps3 at home on the 52" 1080p LCD. For the most part it looks fabulous. There is some macroblocking in shots of the sky, and a few aliasing issues, but DANG that footage is clean looking. Especially the last scene with the people walkking past the store.
I can't WAIT to get this camera and pair it with my fast Canon FD glass.
Thanks for the post! And thanks Daniel for lending bandwidth. Fast server btw.

I had to import it with Toast, still couldn't use final cut. Looking at the directory the files aren't all sequential and it looks like some clips are missing. But that didn't stop me from looking at footage. First four clips look like 60P and the later ones I think are at 30P.

Yeah the private folder should import easily into fcp but this one doesn't. Had to use toast to see footage. I would like to get one private folder without any changes to the file and see if fcp easily log and transfers it because fcp has had issues in the past with panasonic cams.
Anyway, many thanks sonicstates for the upload.

Mico is right. If you do ANYTHING to thefolders (remove files, etc) then they don't work properly.
Barry might know how to do it properly, otherwise you have to shoot exactly what you want to upload then upload.
That's how I did it.CAMP COMET : FILMMAKERS BLOG | SUPERSEEDS FEATURE FILM (DVXUSER BLOG)

Gotta say sonicstates the footage looks stunning. You've done alot of work already and I hate to ask you but could you upload a private folder untouched with just two 1080 24p shots with panning day or night. I'll understand if you can't. Thanks again the night stuff was fantastic.

In 00025.MTS, the tree on the right side of the frame is turning to mush. At first I thought it was just out of focus, but the people walking by it seem much sharper. Does this look weird to anyone else?
Also, thanks for posting, sonicstates!

Daaaaaammmnnn! FCP really doesn't like me touching at all...I deleted a few really crap shots so the sequence was from that point...well....shot. I'll start fresh tonight and not change a single thing... 1080 24p panning day or night...probably night...
Glad the footage turned out alright...my crappy I-0 Data LCD screen makes me cry big tears...I need to see the stuff on a real monitor.

Ha. I understand you not wanting to post bad footage but that interior shot night was so good it will redeem any future shots you think are bad. Thanks .
