Am I too late?

We are starting principal photography tomorrow. This will be a real challenge to get our film in on time for Loss Fest.

Ok, so it's too late. Things got crazy, the economy tanked and we didn't make the deadline.

We are still making the film. And I'll post it to the "User Films" section once it is completed so y'all can rip it to shreds at that point. (ripping it to shred is a good thing... you know what I'm sayin')

No tagline, just a poster...



Micro-production blog:

3/14 - This production is being shot with a DVX100b in addition to a Redrock M2 plus Pentax prime lenses (primarily my 50mm f1.4).

3/20 - Well... besides shooting the intro sequence a month or two back (still in time for Loss Fest) we started principal photography this past weekend. With the majority of the cast on hand, we jumped right in to shooting the most complex (based on number of cast members involved) scene first. Personally, I am extremely happy with each person's performance and very excited for the next round of shots.

3/23 - Got through the second major shooting day yesterday. It was a tough one but everyone came through and the footage looks great. We were delayed a bit by some noisy remodeling in the apartment next door but aside from that, we're good.

3/25 - Frame grabs posted! Please note that this movie is NOT intended to be displayed in black and white... I just don't have the time to color correct at the moment.

3/30 - Two more grabs posted from yesterday's shoot. The location worked like a charm except the acoustics were a bit funky (I may be nit-picking). Overall, a very nice day of production.

4/4 - Delay due to location issues.

5/12 - Filming to resume this month.

5/17 - After a bumpy start we shot some more footage this weekend. Good results! Posted some quick footage frame grabs (out of sequence but that the way it goes of course).

We may need a DVX-anon cuz some people (myself include) are even producing their films PAST THE DEADLINE. If you ask me, this sounds just like addiction!
