Very creative work with many ideas. Love the music. Seeing your film is something like 'waking up in spring time after a grey cold winter with lot of energy'. It is a very refreshing work. You are getting better and better with every fest - compliments. Your film is one of my two favourites. I hope you will make it in the first three.

You caught that, cool. He's my biggest influence, for sure. Mainly for doing FX in camera. With all the unplanned VFX I had to do on this one at the 11th hour I yearn to shoot ONLY in-camera FX again soon. And yes, for a "simple little short" (not), there was a quite a lot of planning, including a 3 page shot-list that we busted out in 12 hours. Thanks to the great crew! No matter how much we plan though, it never seems like enough.... Thanks, and good luck to you guys.
Thank you Susanne- You've been very supportive of me from the beginning and I really appreciate that.

I'm so grateful to be a part of these fests that push me to grow, experiment, and have fun!

This had a great look and feel to it and kept me engaged throughout.
Can't say I 110% got the end as I felt it was meant to contextualize what we'd been seeing all along, but very nice mood and execution. Particularly liked the shot where he's looking down at the end and the material things he's holding just drop off into nothingness.

Thanks Jack. Mmmm. The ending. yeah. We had a couple different options and I'm still playing with it. Decided to go for the simplest route and cut out a bunch of stuff. (their meeting and embrace in the "new" world or the "painting" world as we called it.) The plan now is to put the painting frame in the last shot and bring the movement down to a dead slow, (no pun intended), to lose the "south-park" penguin walk vibe thingy.

I finally got a chance to start watching the Loss Fest entries and all I can say is wow! The aspect ratio was a nice touch and the film itself really stands out. The abstract and artistic nature is quite refreshing and held my interest the entire way through. I ended up watching it more than once and showing it to a few peeps that aren't even watching the Loss Fest movies (each response is positive).
Great job all around.

We're really pleased with the response this film has gotten, and thanks for all the feedback and critiques.
I made some small changes based on the responses and the final version can be viewed HERE. (the ending is slightly different)
