NTSC and PAL

Hi All,

I'm a newbie in the film making world and I was hoping someone could help me with a quick PAL NTSC question.

I purchased a used DVX100b from a friend of mine a couple of weeks ago. I was told that to prevent wear and tear on the tape heads it would be best to do logging and capturing with a cheap Mini DV camcorder. So I went out and bought one.

The Mini DV camcorder I bought is a Mini DV PAL, which is what's used primarily here in the United Arab Emirates. My DVX100 was purchased in the states and is an NTSC system.

Is there any way I can use this cheap Mini DV PAL camcorder to log and capture?

I should also add I'm using Final Cut Pro 6.0 as my editor.
