You gotta love the speed of progress these days.

Very cool advancement here. Even if we don't see it for a while.

But please avoid the "P2 Killer" comments.

    Let's finish off tape first.

I'd like to see 4 of these cards in a P2 card, an 8 TB P2 card It might cost $1.2 million but it would be cool.

I'm thinking about this for archival purposes. I can't imagine archiving an entire 1.5TB (average size for me) project on ONE CARD! No LTO. No DLT. No Blu-Ray discs. Just an SD card. Awesome.

I left my crystal ball in my other pants, so no. But I'm sure they'll be pricey.

    WOW!!!

Has anyone purchased a solid state drive yet? Just curious if they've noticed an increase in speed and decrease in power consumption (suppose to be 95% less).

Thing is by the time this stuff is ready for the public and somewhat affordable the camera tech will need massive storage anyways. Look at Red now and P2 cards. Think how much hard disk space we'll need for cameras 10 years from now.

Not too pricey 128 gig SD cards would be great to have a year or two from now when there are more pro level AVC-HD cams to choose from.
