I just d/led Premiere (trial version)...after I spent a lot of time experimenting with Vegas...but before Vegas I was an avid premiere 6.0 user.

After I first imported some video to play around with I played it in the timeline. Well it was very choppy and so was the audio...I rendered it...then played it again..still the same problem...and no my camera was not still connected.

Whats the problem here...is this jsut b/c its the trial version? How do I fix it?

the answer is one of the following 3

    1. your computer is slow or underpowerd or misconfigured for working with the application.

    2. since you were not using the correct project settings for the footage you imported, and it allowed you to render anything in the first place, you may have also had some other setting off which resulted in poor playback... likely in the playback settings.

    3. your download or install was poor.

If it is choppy your computer may be too slow, try swiching the quality to 'draft quality'

Try putting the raw footage on one drive. The videos on another. And the preview files on yet another. And then the application on a third.
