Hi. Need to go to tape today. There is a glitch in the file ONLY when export to DV tape and play back on a broadcast monitor. Not if I play it out on a TV and not if I export to movie and play in Windows Media as an AVI. But perhaps if the people watching my tape watch it on a monitor they will see the glitch too. Do I need to worry about it? What happens is that at the end of one particular clip the screen has one black flash with a couple of white lines flashing across (like a video machine skipping forward or back). it's not even in a whole frame - you can't hold it (or of course DELETE IT!). Even if I recut the clip it still puts this glitch in wherever the clip ends! I even recaptured, renamed and recut it in a different file and it still happens. What is going on? Must finish this project today. PLEASE HELP. Thank you SO much!

You say an exported AVI is fine? Is that a DV AVI? Can you save the AVI, open a new project, import the AVI and dump that to tape?

Or take that AVI and use another utility like Scenalyzer ( http://www.scenalyzer.com/ ) to send the AVI to tape?

Although the AVI is fine it is still on when played through broadcast monitor! (I can import back into Adobe and then export and will still be there) so somehow it is embedded and IS in the AVI but invisible until played on a monitor. Any ideas?

Is it lasting more than one frame? If you can identify the timecode of the glitch, you could perhaps remove the frame and replace it with a copy of the one before or after it....this depends on what action is happening onscreen....
