    HMC150 and Sports!

    Hello one and all.

What is your opinion on using the HMC150 for sports?

Particularly fast paced sports like Judo?

Here is an example of what we will be filming:

Do you think the HMC150 is up to the task?

I would think that 720 60p would be the way to go.

Go for it. The HMC150 is exactly what you need. 720p/60 is awesome.

Should be great. I havent seen any problems with fast moving objects from any test footage. I havent shot anything to fast paced yet but I think the codec handles fast motion well. You can excellent slo-mo shooting in 720/60p.

    I fully agree!

It should work out perfectly. Seems to be a very versatile camera.

Be aware, not all NLEs are handling the 720P60 well yet.

the best workflow for cs4 is transcoding to dvcpro hd, as avchd, even though is accepted, will need a fast (really fast) computer (but there are people that are working in a full native workflow).

Cool... I think we have a few machines with the horse power so I'll look around for some raw footage to test out and see which way works best.
