Has anyone messed with this program? Does it speed up P2 offloading or just help organize files? Is it worth it?

    Thanks

I have messed extensively, actually its a main part of my workflow. The app can offload multiple cards simultaneously if you have a P2 gear of PCD 20 connected. It can write to as many as 3 target drives simultaneously, plus it allows several naming conventions for renaming transferred P2 volumes. I love the fact that cards can be formatted and ejected once they have been successfully copied.

Safety factors include that a card cannot be formatted if it has not been copied successfully and there is a log file of each card transfer activity, should there be need to verify what happened.

Its the only thing I use for offloading P2 cards to HD's.

I have used ShotPut P2 for the past few months and it works great.

It is not a deep program, like other OSX programs in it's price range. But it makes an easy time out of a critical step.

The "auto format and eject" alone is worth it.

Has anyone has difficulties using the program with a duel adapter on a MacBookPro?

We have had multiple kernel panics with the DA. Otherwise it works well with USB/FW transfers.

I hear that the driver for the Duel adapter was written by apple. There are some issues with that device from what I understand. I'm using a P2 gear without problems.
