Have you seen this film yet. It was shot on S16 and then blown up to 35. I thought it was great. The ending was (in my personal oppinion) the best ending for the movie. I don't think they could have ended it any other way. They build up this horrible tension throughout the entire film and then... BAM! I highly recomend it.

Either way, I'm interested in your oppinions.

THIRTEEN was shot woth a DVX?!???! :o

Just kidding. I have not seen this film and probally will not. Sorry, I'm 33, married witha 3 and half year old son, and seeing a film about a bunch of 13 year old girls discovering their, uh, well you know, just doesn't appeal to me.

I'm sure it is good (it's getting mad attention) and I am familar with the Directors other work as a PROD DESIGNER, but, well, I just can't bring myself to go pay for this film. Maybe when it hits HBO.

yes.. i would have to agree - i get enough teenage drama queen exposure just shopping at the mall. the only reason i would see this film is because its an independent, and i like to watch independent films that get theatrical release because its a good way to develop a judging standard for my own material.. i figure the ones that actually get anywhere-especially to the box office have already been deemed the cream of the crop by festival goers as far as the independents go, so they are good homework for me in a sense.. but this is probably one i would have to choke down if i thought it would help me at all. sides i hate watching stupid people..whether it be the action hero that dosent pick up the bad guys guns, or the 13 year old that feels the need to throw a tantrum and try to destroy her privilaged american life .. - show me a girl that has managed just to live to 13 in some 3rd world country , and id have somthing to applaud and cry about without her even speaking a word.

yes, the fact that they are thirteen is a little much to have to deal with when watching a film. however, she did a great job directing.

irregardless of the fact you dislike thirteen year old girls so much it was a great ending for a very stressful film. I am 27 with a nine year old daughter, a wife, and I'm in college with a bunch of over privlaged teenagers, but I can still appreciate <sp?] the art.

Irreversible was a crazy movie. It was more like an insane rollercoaster ride than a film, but the way it was edited (although nothing new) was cool. It too was shot on s16 and blown up to 35.

You have a 9 year old daughter. Damn. I don't know what I would do with a daughter. MY boy is a big enough pain in the butt ;) but with a teenage daughter in the house, I would freak. In fact, I would never see 13!!!!

yeah, it's hard to keep it together when they're nine. i try not to think about thirteen. i choose just to pretend that day won't come. :

Yes, I know. Like I pretend the day will not come when my son starts dating women. We all know what women will do to you. Actually, we wouldn't be having this conversation if it wasn't for those damn women!

I say that jokingly. But, you know what I mean!
